Harold Jay "Pete"  Coburn
Harold Jay “Pete” Coburn, 80, a retired service technician, owner of Coburn’s Country Kitchen, and operated BAC Upholstery from their home, husband of Betty Faye Arnold Coburn, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Bourbon Community Hospital. He was born January 7, 1938, in Montgomery County, son of the late Elizabeth Chandler Williams. Harold attended Montgomery County Schools and was a member of First Baptist Church-Paris, where he and Betty provided Wednesday night and special fellowship meals for many years. In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by two sons, Harold “Rusty” (Lynne) Coburn, Jeff (Lucy) Coburn; a daughter, Lori Jane (Lee) Chanslor; five grandchildren, Jessica Chanslor, Jonathan (Katelyn) Chanslor, Justin Carolin, Jacob Coburn, Ryan (Kayla) Coburn; four great grandchildren, Marin Chanslor, Patrick Chanslor, Isaac Chanslor, Katy Coburn; a sister, Connie (Mike) Toy; two nephews, Todd (Elizabeth) Cox, Eddy Toy; and two nieces, Libby (Tyler) Winks and Katie Toy. A sister, Marcella Lilly, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 20, at First Baptist Church-Paris by Pastor Kyle Sullivan and Rev. Don Reed with burial in Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jonathan Chanslor, Justin Carolin, Jacob Coburn, Ryan Coburn, Eddy Toy, and Ronnie Hunt. Honorary bearers will be Marvin Sharon, Gerald Brown, Butch Martin, Mark Long, Ronald Chanslor, Denver Pochodzay, and Walden Pridemore. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
