Nell Riley Turner, 82, a retired deputy jailer at the Bourbon County Detention Center, wife of James Turner, died Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Bourbon Heights Nursing Home. She was born April 28, 1936 in Owsley County. Nell is survived by her husband, Jim; a son, Tommy (Libby) Smith; a daughter, Ruby (Greg) Baker; eight grandchildren, Mandy (Charles) Biddle, Megan Smith, Zachary Beaton, Greg Bills, Trish (Ed) Clark, Amber Smith, Nikki Smith, Woody Smith; great grandchildren, Conner Biddle, Joe Clark, Alisha Homister, Sherra Weimer, Tyler Clark, Mathew Clark, Sterling Bills, Shaelyn Bills, Chase Bills; a brother, Robert (Anna Lee) Reynolds; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Bernie Smith, preceded her in death. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.
